I'm not allowed to love you, because you broke my number one rule.
When you were saying " I love you "
Those words were never true.
In my books, that is not cool.
I'm letting you go, I'm saying good-bye
So you won't have to hurt me again.
I'm letting you go, now it's your time to cry.
All your broken promises is coming to an end.
No more silly love songs, no more " I love you's"
Just a broken heart and some words they call the blues.
I'm moving on to a new chapter in my life.
I hope for no more sorrow and no more strife.
All that you can hope for is better days ahead.
Sometimes the hurting words are better left unsaid.
I'm gonna try my best to believe in love again.
I don't give up easy, but I'm not just looking for a friend.
If you take a chance with me, all I ask for is honesty and love.
If you think that this is easy, well, for me its always hard.
Because, I fell in love before and he said he loved me, but he wasn't being loyal.
So, I broke it up and sent him out the door.
If you decide to break rule number one then you will be sent packing too.
All I ask is when you say " I love you " then you better be saying it from the heart, and you better be true!
