Rules Are There For A Reason.

Today I saw a woman weep,
She lay under the car helplessly,
Drenched in her own blood,
She cried for help,
She was in shock,
Her limbs detached from her body.
Rules are there for a reason,
Not to be broken but to be followed.
Today two people broke the rules,
They went against nature and she hit back,
Their actions were uncalled for,
And the casualty was innocent.
To the weeping woman,
Take heart as you heal,
Your saviour gave you a second chance,
Take it and run away with it.
To the woman's family,
Be strong in this distressing moment.
To the rider and the driver,
Today it was her,
Tomorrow it might be you.
To all drivers and riders,
Drive and ride carefully,
Rules are there for a reason,
So follow them.
