Was many years ago , We were neighbours

You lived down the hall , You came for a favour

You knew the smell , Coming from inside

You knocked lightly , We were pie eyed

You asked politely ,Is that what I smell?

I said yes it is ,I knew you could tell

I said sure come in ,Please have a seat

We passed it to you , It sure beats the heat

After we talked a bit , And exchanged names

Found out we shared , The same interest in games

Cribbage was the best , We played every day

And we shared stories , Some funny..some were grey

You met your husband , Around the same time

Together still today , And still you're doing fine

You two will last forever , I hope you do

With your dog also , Together you grew

Even with differences , Both you're still my friends

Changes in our lives , But we manage to mend

Now over ten years , And we still talk

A few bumpy roads , Still you guys rock

Another ten years ? , It would be awesome

Ten more after that , Would be so much fun

So lets one day drink , And toke to recall

For the times we had , I always had a ball
