Scarred Angel

She played a magical bugle
Wrought spells with no tinge of evil
I had an encounter with an angel
Who had the appearance of the devil
Her face was badly disfigured
Her looks a bit impish
But her character perfectly configured
And her spirit without blemish
She was more than a little wild
We woved mementos in passing time
She had the soul of a child
The memories are still sublime
There is more than meet the eye
We flew on wings that were not seen
She is the prize of the northern sky
There is a hole where she has been
She played her magical bugle
An enchantment so innocent
Maybe she wasn't an angel
But she sure was of heavenly descent.
