The scars on my wrists
Reminds me of a past
A long complaint list
But time moved fast
It was dark as night
With not even starlight
Dreams were dashed
Before my life smashed
I was at a dead end
Nothing moved but time
There was no helping hand
Living felt like a crime
Depression escalated
I was totally devastated
With nothing to live for
And nothing good in-store
As I headed for a cliff
I knew I could end it all
Once my body is stiff
I wouldn't have to call
Coz help is not around
Peace can't be found
I laid there bleeding out
In my heart I had no doubt
Coz my suffering is over
I was gonna be free forever
But God had other plans
He saw in me a better man
When I am down to nothing
He's always up to something
So now I'm doing what I can
Just to follow His plan
