I sat in that dark room
Watched as the time tick tock
My heart beat tick along with it
I wasn't ready to bid farewell
The other side calls out for me
A call I am hesitant to answer
Am terrified the other side
holds nothing out for me
Images of how I was to be hung
Keeps flashing in my head
I wish they knew how sorry I am
But my fate was a sealed one
My last minutes on earth
Couldn't be more dreadful
