Dry grass cracks under my feet
The winter killed most everything
Basking in the sun's low heat
I faintly hear sparrows sing
Spring time is around the corner
You don't ever have to wonder
Winter will make way soon
Like the sun for the moon
New life for the southern hemisphere
As the northern autumn nears
I still can't really understand it
Winter seems to steal nature's heartbeat
But at the dawn of greening season
You can hear it beats again
So go to rest cold wintery season
We're waiting for the summer rains
