I sat upon a moment,
I carried not my cross.. I sang into the woods,
the words were not my fault.
A melody so uncertain
a topic all but lost.
Incredible dreams... insensitive seeds...
hey, i sit and think,
I probly found a wishing well that time could never cost.
Its not a hurt that bled
Its not the way it read
Not anything demanding from my pretty little head.
The minutes became hours
Each memory held so tight
It was clear these things needed to soak through the night.
Tears so large they filled my face
My face so often and so new
My lips still singing
this not so certain tune.
Rocking but for hours
Shivering in strange towers
dreams littering inside my head
Cost of being... on a shelf
In my dead
Until suddenly my lie unfolds.
Yet, I am still unknown.
Birds so sweet soared on by
wings filtered messages
My cheeks now on high
Wake up you wasteful passerby
Glanced at my wrist
A whole day had gone by
Suddenly Im rushing
Suddenly im filled with lament
Suddenly though not suddenly Time had closed her eye
Another summons grown cold.
Nothing to now hold
The walk i took now faster and more assure I afford
Each step made now heard
Loud
Like never before
With shoes that echoed
onto hard and packaged floors
She's Outside, was said by an unknown
It sounded as cathedral as I ran on through
And as quickly as i had gotten there.
At Home now I rest
My lament now rendered and very well spent
Just that old uncertain melody is all that is left
It remembered to pay its rent i bet
As For the rest that came
Just to move along.
Those now... Also long gone
i still cant remember the words to my song
Though Catch me often in its melodic hum
It seems funny how my melody
This once uncertain tune
would be the only thing to have made it through.
I smile
I relax
seeing My lament now gone too.
