It’s not about your power,
Nor about your might;
It’s with the Spirit
That defines your height.
The weight of the world
Takes a toll on us all.
You may think you’re rich—
Be careful, lest you fall.
Even those who are healthy
Soon come to know
That their hourglass
Will inevitably run low.
Only God holds the secret
To your deepest questions,
Only He has the answers
To your joys and depressions.
Let’s not fool ourselves,
Thinking we know it all;
Death is always near—
Seek God, not its call.
So I leave you with this:
Life’s kiss is both bliss and sour.
Turn to God, your vindicator;
Only He knows the time and hour.
