It was supposed to be two hearts on the line,
It was supposed to be two souls intertwined.
Their life was supposed to be so fine,
With both their efforts selflessly combined.
But really it was just one soul wrapped around the other,
And the other with no real reason to bother.
With one heart built to test time,
And the other to shatter anytime.
It's a selfish kind of love, with too many flaws to conquer,
It's a painful way to love, with too many expectations required,
Sometimes the feelings expressed with questions left unanswered ,
And other times with quarrels,disagreements,and furious anger,
It was supposed to be two hearts on the line,
But really it was just one heart bleeding for the other.
