I come across a dark cave
With a test of courage I make my way in
A tinted haze disorients my vision
Light becomes indifferent from the darkest night
I find myself lost admist the stagnant mist
My vision is failing me
The eyes I rely on daily become a burden
I close them easing my displacement
With my eyes closed I focus my other senses
I extend my arms out on front of me
Readying myself to progress
Taking a step, I move forward
I hear a minute crunch over the crumbled stone floor
Taking a step, I move forward
My hands skim across a slimy wall
I can feel my skin dampen and my fingers become sticky
Taking a step, I move forward
A pungent smell comes from above
The smell floods my taste buds with a rotten treat
Taking a step, I move forward
I am hit with a sudden verosity of warmth
All of my senses unite as one
I open my eyes and see an open field
Relief fills my bones as I turn around to see the end of a cave
I so desperately feared
