The serenity I feel when I'm alone
The calmness I experience in my zone
That moment when my sins I can atone
The gripping silence that turns me into stone
When I can detach myself from this Earth
Swim around in my mind's firth
Warm myself in my heart's hearth
Oh this serenity feels like rebirth
The slow rise and fall of my chest
A feeling few things can best
In the secured enclave of my eagle's nest
Where everything is peaceful from it's east to west
But alas this paradise doesn't last forever
And this cruel cold world makes me shiver
But the memories I never fail to remember
And I yearn for a time when peace ends never
