The obscurity of this poem leaves it's meaning unseen
But it's emotionally powerful and it's tactically keen
But I hide it in the shadows so I don't feel alone
Here in the darkness in the place I call home
No I'm not lost, this world isn't my vice
Because of the love in my chest this beating heart has a price
It aches for acknowledgement it cries to be seen
It begs for a hero to save it from where it's been
But instead... oh sorrow my soul
It's left to the side, in the deep deep cold
I don't think you get... no you can't understand
How it feels to give all and be left with an outstretched hand
Yes this poem may be lost to all for its meaning
But trust when I say it means more than you're seeing
I don't need replies or likes for this my broken passion
I just pray for someone its power and impression are lasting
That they may define some meaning that fits their situation
That gives them hope beyond simplistic limitation
But I doubt that will happen for this poem so obscure
It will have a different meaning for every person who reads it I'm sure...
