When I was a kid
Life was meaningless yet wonderful for me
As I grew and tried to explore
It became a surreal blend of happiness and sadness to me
At ten
It seemed like incarceration(hostel life) to me
I was told
Scoring good marks in matriculation exam will shape my life
After I passed the exam
At sixteen
I was told
It's the higher secondary marks that matters for college
But the JEE marks will lead me to the college
Confused me
Worked hard and scored the deserving marks
Suddenly figured out -
Life has become a depression for me.
Came out thinking
Life is a cannibal.
Entered college life with fresh enthusiasm
Only to figure out
Ultimate goal of life is to find a job
And settle with family.
But my adult mind is now enlightened
It's crystal clear ---
My whole life was a lie to me.
