Shades Of The Soul

If I were to paint in words
how happiness looks like
it'd look like laughing flowers
in full bloom of happy colors
dancing and swaying
to gentle breeze
in lovely summertimes.
If I were to narrate
how sadness is to me
it's how dead leaves fall
one by one
to the stone-cold ground,
silently and in slow motion
when midnight comes like a thief
and everyone is sound asleep.
If I were to tell
how I see anger
it would be like
watching a blazing inferno
dangerous and deadly
engulfing everything on its way
to ashes and embers of catastrophe.
If you're wondering how love
is captured in a moment
it is a picture of a sweet, innocent smile
on a baby's face as it slowly forms
into perky coos and crackles
that never fails to melt hearts away.
If kindness
is placed in a frame
it would show how beautiful
a stranger's gentle grip
on an elderly's wrinkly hands
all sincere and heartfelt
no words would ever suffice.
If you will ask me
how trust is in my eyes
a Lladro porcelain figurine
will come to mind
rare,fragile,priceless
once broken,
seldom regains its old beauty
even if glued by gold
just like they do
in the 'land of the rising sun'.
But then,
words will merely describe
how one is like inside,
the real essence
isn't seen in dreamy eyes
only found and touched
in the depth
and stillness of one's soul.
