Shadow and Light by Old Candle

Shadow and Light by Old Candle
Ebony pendulums shatter frost in my eyes;
Tears flow like ink o’er yellowed page and guise.
Thoughts race like carriages through corridors dim—
Then I know my heart can be a wild crow’s whim: no silver to bear, just vast skies to skim.

In a blink, the dome may hold an old painting’s grace;
Its smile cradles starlight in every space.
Or I might dip my hand in waves kissed by cold moon glow—
Let tides wash the hurt from where my bones grow.

I am like a palm print carved in sand’s face,
Trudging, shaping life’s relief with each pace.
Looking back, yesterday has turned to tomb-brick cool;
Yet I know I once knocked on heaven’s window with my tool...🌘✨02042026 ©LanZhan
