Shadows Of Unknowing
In the quietest part of the night,
where secrets twist and turn like smoke,
cruelty grows and spreads,
hiding pain that no one sees.
They’ve never known the spark of kindness-
the soft comfort offered by strangers,
or the fire that love can bring;
a heart untouched by another’s pain,
drifts, lost in blurry images-
how heartbreaking to turn into demons of the night.
