they gave her dirt,
she deserved it all
they gave her none,
down the dark streets
she lived on scraps of garbage,
she was an angel
covered in smirk,
a grain of dust
a pinch of mud
a solititude of sorrow,
life hid her glow,
She'd crawl by the sewers
to gain her sleep,
rats were her best of friends,
abandoned by all
the streets were her all,
ironic as it may
she survived and never was a whore
just a street girl living in her low,
she deserved gold
but she stayed out cold,
she was silver
but uncovered,She'd shiver,
the world left her for the worst
but she gave it her best,
