He lifts her up just to bring her back down again.
She smiled for a minute or two,
Until the good feelings came to an end.
The way he used to love her, he would make love til all hours of the night.
Now instead of making love, all they do is fight.
So she realized things were not gonna get better, just worse.
All she does is hurt,
While he is out there on the flirting side of town.
She needs to find what turned their life around.
She needs to get out there herself and find a new friend.
She needs to find a way to bring back their love, again.
She got all dressed up and went out to town.
A gentleman opened the door, It made her feel good all around.
She sat at an empty table, the same man ordered her a drink.
All this attention just made her think.
It doesn't take much to make her smile again.
She just needs all this once more, with her man.
But how he doesn't understand,
She wishes she had that love again.
She turns around to leave, and a voice said
" Leaving already, m'am."
She smiled back and said " yes " I'm going home to my man.
