She tries to remember
She takes a long look at what is in front of her.
Sometimes it just hurts..
Sometimes she remembers, sometimes she forgets.
That long anguished look upon her face brings us to one more step.
We know shes getting older
Her feelings are becoming colder.
Sometimes she forgets.

Every photo holds a memory
That she tries to remember
From the winds in September to the cold snow in December.
She scratches her head with names she used to know.
Now her memory is becoming some what slow.
Sometimes she forgets...

Her last year of life was strangely difficult in her journeys.
One by one the memories died, and she was becoming free.
The only thing left were pictures hanging on the wall.
And with each story she forgot them all.
Sometimes she remembers...

When we said our last goodbyes
All we did was cry...
Watching her sleeping peacefully in a room full of pictures placed by her bed side.
I touched her hand, she started feeling cold.
My tears I tried to hide..
But still I didn't want to let go
Til the day she shut her eyes I can see,
The way she looked at me..
Sometimes she remembers..
