It was a cold night,
An hour just before dawn,
I remember pulling out a joint,
Just as I searched my pocket for a lighter,
Rain pours like cats and dogs as so described,
I quickly run under a tree,
Drenched and even colder,
I wait for the storm to blow over,
Out of my left ear I hear humming,
A song coming from the most beautiful of all creatures, a woman,
Quickly I'm fixated on her,
A sound so pure and so kind it fills your soul with such emotion,
She was gorgeous if not more,
Her hair like silk and lips so soft as marshmallows,
I'd imagine of course,
Even when she teared,
There was still beauty in it,
So mysterious, and so serene,
I would go there every night just to hear her voice,
And what a voice she is,
Rather she was,
One day she stopped singing,
She stopped appearing,
Everything of her ended, faded, vanished,
A dream I desperately tried to reach,
To hold, to admire, to love,
Gone in the blink of an eye,
A snap of the fingers,
I still live, but empty,
I still eat, but never full,
I still dream, but never sleep,
I still see, and hear you,
But I know better,
You're way too pure for this world...
