her smile would melt the hardest heart
the glow of her dark beautiful skin
hear her laughter miles away
her walk of confidence amazes everyone
little did we know
she hides the pain and suffering
she never let anyone see her tears
she never let anyone feel her sorrow
she cries herself to sleep
wondering will this life ever change
when will God hear my cry and prayer
she is torn
she is broken
she is miserable
she doesn't feel loved
she is not respected
she is just a doormat
she is just punching bag
only words have destroyed her heart
only words have destroyed her dignity
with his hands touching her beautiful skin
with the same tongue that is voilent; saying sweet apologetic words
she is still the super glue of her family
her kids only see the loving and supporting mother and wife
only if they knew the pain she carries with her smiles
She is only Human at the end of each day
How she wishes to be understood by her fam
She never planned to be mistreated or so sad
and walking away is never an option for her
She hopes that one day
she will cry no more
her tears will be genuinely wiped
her smile will be genuine
her dignity will be restored
she will earn her respect; that she deserves
she'd be loved by her one and only man.
