She wins again

He sat there basking in his own tears,
He cut the pain in more ways then one, just to break his fears.
He has been telling himself to cut her loose.
He just kept breathing in the news.
Now he doesn't need to be with her anymore.
But it's still going to hurt, for sure.
Broken apart, and ripped at the core.
Walking right through the door.
She keeps calling him, as he's trying to let go.
But when she cries, he hurts, because he still loves her so.
Magic won't happen over night,
What he tried to fix, was breakable, here starts another fight.
As he walks away,
She leans back, to much to say.
So he takes it all in,
Drinks down that bottle of gin,
There she goes, she wins again.
