She's A Mom

Connected by an umbilical cord
Ebryonic creation formed
Love stems in timeless moments
From conception to death
She birthed the fruit of her passion.
Then she became a mother.
Connected through prayers
Nurture in spirituality and love
Streams of wisdom she sprinkled on her offspring with joy
She stands in the shadow of a mother's who's gone
Far and near they are drawn by her kindness and compassion.
She is a mom to others too.
In the form of a sister, connected as siblings
Bounded by love not umbilical cord
She stands in the gap of a woman who's failed
Duty calls, she answers promptly
Passionately committed to touching lives
She is definitely a mom.
Nature denied her offspring
Yet she remains tender in loving other's
Sacrifices of love she'd make
Thousands of miles she'd go to paint a smile
Her words water them with comfort
Her shoulders to lean on in hard times
She'd wipe every tear that drops
Her well of love never did dry
She's got a mother's heart
And in my eyes, she's a mom.
She bled to a give life
She cried so one could smile
Others were fed by her starvation
Innumerable are her sacrifices
Her knees bent from ceaseless prayers
Her heart melts in pain because of a wrong done.
She did her best and left God with the rest.
She's gone to heaven with a smile because her work is done.
God bless her soul.
