In chapels
Of rosebuds and cobwebs
They stand as statues
With crows at their fingertips
And belladonna lips
Beauty bleeding
From a caved in chest
Where vines grow
Holding corpses
So they don't collapse
When the sky is painted
In black and grey pastels
The loving are falling out of love
And life is dying
Shedding above
Staining faces
Leaving cracked granite
And ashes of starving doves
They weren't loved
And that was enough
To leave their world
An anesthesia numb
