It's the first thing you see when opening up a blind
The one thing we count on to help with the time
The absence of this seems to bring out more crime
People tend to hang out in it more in their prime
While others draw marks out and call it like a sign
The presence of this can make you feel sublime
Or scorching and burning about to lose your mind
Regardless of endeavor or where you line your time
