Silence

Dare I say single word,
through these lips that lay bare.
I suck my thumb to bite my tongue, and prevent the feelings stuck in there.
Though so silent, is she there? She sat so quietly, asked "what's wrong?" Then she say nothing "let's go home." Bearing the words she need not say, the look on her face stern as a bull with no say. I have feelings too if you did not know, but the love I hand out is like pain from a bow 🏹. I sit there in silence🤐 hoping to figure it out, but when I'm with you I catch all the pout. "What did I do?", "Did I do something wrong?". You say it's not me, the words say you are wrong. To keep you happy I'll stay well advised, but for me I'll forever be unsatisfied. -Faith Robinson
