Silent is the cry that echoes within,
A lonely sound that never leaves the skin,
A hidden tear that falls in the dark,
A secret pain that leaves its mark.
No one can hear it, no one can see,
The silent cry that's within me,
It's like a whisper that's lost in the wind,
A sound that's never meant to be pinned.
It comes from deep down in my soul,
A feeling I can't control,
It's like a weight that drags me down,
A sorrow that never leaves town.
I try to speak, to let it out,
But the words won't come, I'm left with doubt,
I'm trapped within this silent cry,
A prisoner who can't say why.
But still, I hope that someday soon,
I'll find the courage to break the cocoon,
And let my voice be heard at last,
Breaking free from the silence of the past.
Until then, I'll keep the silent cry,
A secret that no one will spy,
A feeling that's mine alone to bear,
A burden that's always there.
