SIN

SIN

Like a piece of driftwood,
Sin carries one on a wave,
Unable to control the torrent,
Loving only what it'd gave.

Like a bed of thorns,
You lie without a care,
Bleeding while still resting,
Uncomfortable and bare.

Its beginning is inviting,
Giving every reason to come,
Like a poisonous venom,
It is impossible to overcome.

Still, like a beautiful angel with wings,
Hiding her evil guise,
Luring you with adoration,
Only to reveal the devil in disguise.

Like everything else in the world,
Sin does not care about age,
Even to a child in the womb,
It traps you in a cage.

Sin itself is a prison cell,
Keeping you from reality,
Blinding you from true light,
Refusing to set you free.

There is only one key,
Found in one man,
He is Jesus Christ, the Lord.
Run to Him now, while you can.
