Sitting outside on the steps
Smoking a cigarette quietly
Waiting for a friend to visit
Sitting outside silently
Traffic rushes past quickly
Cars and trucks together
Off to their destinations
They begin their adventure
Sitting
Thinking
Pondering
Writing
Randomly
My friend she made it
We talked and chatted
Laughed and got high
We giggled and ranted
After an hour she left
To ride back home
She has a light with her
On her bike it's shown

She may come back later
We will hang out again
Chilling with some music
Fun times with my friend
