Skinned

I was hidden in my shadow
And I couldn't find my face
All I saw was the shape of my lips
The light was gone
All that I saw was black
Good deeds was swallowed up in dark shadows of sin
Forgive my expression
I don't mean to say black is evil
But you see, evil is done in the dark
So it's seen as black
When the light of goodness shines
It exposes the evils that's done in the dark
I know black is beautiful
I just don't get why evil is seen as black
And good is seen as light
So you find dark chocolate covered in vanilla cream of white
And girls feel devalued by the beautiful color of their brown skin
Others make believe that its inferior
Yet God finds pleasure in the dust
So he stooped low to dwell in it.
He felt comfortable so he portrayed love by giving up
So when black is seen as sin we'll remember the cross
But we fail him by painting and trying to color his portrait
Dust was lifted
So with pleasant smile
We ought to thank the Creator of it all
Because whether we be red or yellow, black or white
We are precious in his sight
Our contents are the same just the package different.
The different colors makes the picture beautiful.
