When you reach for the sun
Had the work not already done
You chase your dreams though
They said it was more fun
The sun though was too much
For these hands to behold
The heat melted
The rays made blind
You came crashing down to the Earth
Unto the sublime
With a slight of the hand
You grasp the light inch by inch
You capture the wonder
Now enclosed in your fist
With heated rage
Not from out but within
You swear by the moon
For what could have been
...
Put your broken wings to rest
Expectations was your sin
