Walking down the street
In the afternoon
Middle of winter
I was not expecting
What was to come soon
There was some melting
The day before
And froze over night
It was slippery now
I was freezing to the core
Not thinking about it
I had slipped
Before I knew it
Was on the ground
I think my pants had ripped
Now sitting on my butt
I look around
Nobody seen me
Slowly get up
I didn't make much sound
It made me think that
With out warning
You could slip
Not just on ice
But in life as you're growing
Just steady your feet
Try not to fret
It may hurt
But continue on
It won't be something you regret
