She had slipped , lost her balance
fell right into her addiction
It lifted so many of her restrictions
She never thought of the afflictions
For medical reasons
She would say knowing
it wasn't always that way.
Daughter wife mother ,aunt ,
the list of her keeps going
Everyday the more drugs she does
The less of those people are showing
The drug made her numb
Making her want it even more
Starting off small,
then doing it more than the time before
A craving that
became hard to ignore
The more drugs the happier she became
Not hiding it , not showing any shame
No drugs on the other hand made her become angry and shouting the blame.
Her emotions were all over
but she was still Loving the high
She thought
this is what she has been missing in her life to get by.
Until she started asking herself Why ?
