Enduring a parasytic relationship
Light flickers across the simplicity of a hollow dwelling
Scented liquids spread across the silverplate
Hardened wax sickles curve over the endless edge
Microscopic embers sizzle out
A man lies back against his chair
The fire casts shadows over his exhausted face
Slight warmth emits from the shrinking candle
Another peacful time of writing has finished
Stories stir in his head as he continues his slumber
