SOMEDAY

Holding my six year old baby in my arms
Tears fill my eyes
As I vividly remember what happened to me
Is the same thing that happened to her
Helplessly I look at her crying
Asking me why it happened to her
God why her?
It's been four years since it happened to me
The scars are still fresh
The images are still real
My young kid is torn as I was
Her pain is unimaginable
What kind of a curse is this
I kneel down to question God
Asking what wrong did I do
Asking why I deserved this
Why my innocent kid
Why my little baby girl
She's just six Lord why?
Did I do something wrong ?
Did I cause this endless tourmoil to myself ?
Is it my fault that my daughters innocence have been crashed into nothingness ?
Question after question rang my mind
This was too much
Tears became friendly
They visited every minute
Watching her in pain
Was something I couldn't bare
Dealing with the torture was to much
For the rapist was always around
And there's nothing we'd do about it.
I thought of where I have come from
Six years of mental torture
Six years of depression and panic attacks
I never wanted this for my daughter
I couldn't sit back and let her suffer
But helpless I was
For my own wound was still fresh
My scars were open
There's nothing much I'd do but just pray
To a God I wasn't sure of
But still I prayed for it made me feel better
Knowing the father to the fatherless would one day take this cup from us
Someday !
