In a moment of Shakespearian epiphany
I un-dam a deluge of bleeding words
lick at glitter and Monsoon
I take what was inner sanctum
of sorrow and secrecy
and release it to a World as wounded
and wild as I in its fated delirium.
Perfected 14-liner
rhythm in sync with rhyme’s gust of meter and
Lightning-quick empyreans.
What blurred and gyrating chord
could I hold you to
sin of my ardor through the tin roof top
of your veins and hope the reverberation
is enough to seep into your memory’s drought?
Take me as your Olympus!
As the Opus of your thunderous heart that
beats in a litany of drowned stars.
Hear Sleeping Beauty’s raptured sighs at the
breath and kiss that lured her from such
abandoned sleep!!!
Inside a cavernous Soul lives a longing, bereft,
which rises through layers of bewilderment
in its eternal weep . . .
I am Aphrodite.
don’t denounce my roar
may my sentences complete your
Writer’s Block now and forevermore ~ !!!
Sonnet Rains . . .
in a storm I wrote you a love poem.
There it lay in a puddle on the sidewalk;
you stood in its middle, submerged, but
unaffected.
Then you walked away and I stared at
the back of your Green Army Jacket with
the St. Pepper patch.
I saw what you left behind when I looked
down, remembering how good you always
were in leaving behind departing imprints.
