Far to many as of late
Have been physically abused
Treated lower than the lowest
So another may be amused,
You thought you could trust
To one you gave your heart to
At first they were so kind
Then they rent your heart in two,
I cannot promise the pain will abate
I'll not promise the nightmares will fade
I'll promise not what I've no power to do
Only you can walk the hard path
That hate and mistrust has made.
