My safe place
Should be myself,
But it’s not because it’s you
Even tho, I know
that it’s bad for my health
For My happiness, I can’t rely on you
Or anybody else,
No one should make me happier than myself
But when I was at my worst you picked me up and made me feel the best I ever felt
Now you can barely stand me
And I feel like I’m in hell.
Everyone has a dark place
They go,
When they just can’t be okay at home,
Often, the darkest places we ever go,
Is in the minds we call our own,
Your mind is the one place
That can make you lose control
Of your rationality,
Of your whole reality
You need to know when to let go,
And recognize when you’re going down the rabbit hole…
Don’t listen to the darkness calling
Don’t acknowledge the jealousy,
Don’t jeprodize that safe place
Because if you do,
There will be nothing
But a blank space
Between the two of you.
