SPIRIT GLOW

SPIRIT GLOW

Wreath upon my head;

I will ever dwell beneath.

Plaited orb of verity

branch’d & blossoming in me.

~

Not a dry crown, nor dead,

but a thriving, vibrant one of life,

Sprouting grapes so ripe and rife:

Breeding Fruits that save my life.

~

My heart was cloven

and there appeared a flower,

& grace sprang up

the precious fruit from my love.

Speaking waters came near my lips

from the sweetest fountain

of my beloved

~

O dear,

the only one my soul loves,

may you be ever growing,

Shooting forth in me many fruits,

diverse and fresh.

~

Your mighty fountains

gush into me

& so my heart

gushes forth the truest-passion,

and when my lips

bring forth your name.

My tongue becomes

sweet by your anthems,

and my members

are entranced by your hymns.

~

My heart was lifted up in love

and my spirit enlarged:

that I might call out

your name across the chasms!!

~

My members are strengthened

that I might not fall from your arms.

(My flesh Sickness has been removed)

~

On my head a royal crown;

on my body,

the beauty of your art;

On my feet for all to see:

You are woven over me.

~

When the earth shakes

or the sea threatens

your spirit will strengthen me.

~

O dear, my only one,

ever the one

graciously adorning me,

Nourishing my spirit-fruits,

I'm keeping your mystery,

(My spirit glows...)
