Just like a pendulum
I sway on life's noose,
once my eyes were blind
but I still knew the truth,
there was never a me
without a you,
you were all the picture perfect clouds
in my skies of blue,
madness haunts my every breath,
I would look for you
until there is nothing more left,
it ain't when I wake
but when I try to sleep
that I get the test,
like 6 feet deep
I'm starting to believe
I have no more breath,
it pulsates deep within
like tomorrow has no sin,
eyes wide shut
like a new day can never begin,
They say to live and let live,
my manipulating of words
words a God fearing gift,
like straight up venom
it is fire that is all I spit,
buckle up because my thoughts
will take you on an neverending trip,
if chief say it ends
believe you are gonna get hit,
and you think true love is true bliss?
they echo all hours in my mind,
just to get one minute back
of all my lost time,
you would just think
it's the blind leading the blind,
the wise man has written
all his lies upon that neon sign,
fight the good fight
and never stop trying,
no matter how many words I write
the inside doesn't stop crying,
I don't have wings
I just close my eyes to start flying,
Mother Nature is lost
and Father Time is dying,
I engraved two masks upon my face,
I came in first
even though I never finished the race,
mountains split in two
now each breath is a disgrace,
when I write my thoughts
they guide me to my place,
the whispers console me
and tell me I am safe,
three deep breaths...
