🍁 Steam and Sight 🍁
Stanza 1
I’ve grown used to the steam that curls above my cup—
each pour a habit, warm and worn as thread,
offering brew to faces known and not,
my hands steady where care has always led.
The beans grind soft, a murmur in the cut
of morning light that fills my quiet shed.
Stanza 2
But how it’d feel to have another set
the mug before me—someone with no name
I know, yet whose eyes see past what’s met
at surface: mountains stretched beyond their peak,
storms as wild art where beauty’s not forget,
and wounds as proof of how we learn to speak.
Stanza 3
They’d see the vigor in each scar I bear,
and greet all seasons—heat, frost, rain, or sun—
with no sharp words, no fuss or heavy care,
just quiet grace for how the world is spun.
No need for talk; their heart would hang in air
like steam, a bond that needs no murmuring done...🌚✨ 02152026 ©LanZhan 安娜·梅·德拉·奇纳
