Stigma

She is snatched with inhumane speed,
there she saw the devil himself first hand,
Her screams audible yet heard by none,
Forced,used and left impure.
The image caged in Her mind as it still stings,
Disgusted by Her own self, tears found its way to her eyes,
She streamed water down Her skin but still felt impure,
all not Her fault yet Her innocence became guilt within.
With high expectations of finding peace and justice, she told Her story,
disgust manifest in their faces as they listen,
She is rejected and blamed by poison filled hearts,
Her vision blurred with tears by the venom of such toxic words.
Family's strong urge to protect their own is dominated by the mentality of the African society,
Amigos not left choiceless but they become voiceless,
Used to walking head high but now walks with a covered face out of sight,
described as "ruined" she is,
In the end She was just a victim not a culprit.
