They were stitches apart from saying goodbye.
He held on to dignity as he watched her cry.
She let out handfuls of tears,
He watched and he feared.
They let each other go,
And still loved each other so.
But could not be together anymore,
They were not going back the way they were before.
The lies and deceits have made them both become so cold.
They vowed to love one another til they were old.
But plans have changed and time had gone away.
Their lonliness gave them nothing more to say.
So instead of growing old together
They decided they were not each others forever.
It's okay, because some day they will smile again.
Not as lovers but as friends.
