Stone Heart
Stone Heart Beneath a shroud of frost-kissed years, A stone heart looms, scorched by fears. Hewn from anguish, jagged and cold, its granite veins trap tales untold. Once it throbbed with molten fire, A crimson pulse of raw desire. But gales of grief, with razored sting, chiselled its core to a lifeless thing lover’s cry can crack its shell, no embered joy can pierce its spell. It reigns alone, a tomb of slate, Defying time, defying fate. Yet in its fissures, black as night, A ghost of warmth clings, faint with light.A buried spark, too frail to bloom, Whispers of life within the gloom. Though carved in stone, unyielding, vast, it feels the world’s sharp echoes blast. In caverns deep, it aches, it burns, for love’s fierce tide to crash, return.
