Stories Untold

If the eyes are the windows to the soul then there must be a doorway leading to that very soul. And every doorway requires a door, and every door requires a key, and every key requires a keyhole; and forever the doors are locked, for the one who locks them requires to keep others out as a means to safety, or requires to keep others in as a means to sin.
But one need not lock the door to see what lies beyond, because once the door is opened all that is necessary good, or all that is necessary evil might be alerted, it might be agitated, it might be provoked.
And a glimpse of a story untold, a story ignored might be realized through a keyhole;
and the eyes see what they must see, and the eyes believe what they want to believe.
And the soul stirs, and the soul awakens, and the soul protests -
Behind every keyhole you will find
A forgotten story of some kind
All you need is take a peek
Thru the keyhole if truth you seek
Here the horrid husband beats his wife
Here the drugs that takes a maiden's life
Here the orphan cries himself to sleep
Here the lovers that a tryst do keep
Here the dusty book with pages worn
Here the victim with her clothes all torn
Here the happy family eating dinner
Here the ravings of a mortal sinner
The eyes might see and might believe
The mind a tragic tale might perceive
The heart a tale of joy might render
The universe will yet retain its splendor -
The stars will yet shine. The earth will yet
rotate. The tides will yet ebb and flow, ebb and flow. And life - life will move on - on and beyond.
Still, a story remains untold and forgotten, forgotten and ignored - only to be
glimpsed at through the keyhole that requires the key to open the door that leads to the
doorway - of the soul.
