Stranded

Betrayed in the barren desert
Left for dead in the scorching heat
Scowering for water
Day fades into a freezing night
My ripped attire leaves my skin cold
The moonlight giving me company
A frenzy of hardships rush at me
Not an animal nor plant in sight
Sand storms invade the yellow plain
Sensitive eyes redden in its presence
Water is only in my dreams
Hallucinations of an oasis cloud my judgement
My body is exhausted, dehydrated, and starving
There is not a sign of life for miles
The Earth has never felt so alienated
I only wish for the company of people
Then again the person I trusted and loved betrayed me
Making me loathe the idea of another's touch
I now wish to wander the desert until my bodily vessel can operate no more
