She took a look in the mirror
What she saw brought her to tears
All she seen were all of her fears
What had seemed like the last few years
She seen what she saw
Said to herself It's time to switch gears
All she could think was maybe it was her peers
That's why she lost all of those years
She knew what she knew
Wondered why she still presumed
It was only myself that I mistreated
She knew she fooled everyone else she no longer lied to herself
She said hey it's time for a change
She could no longer justify herself Knew the way she wanted to be
She prolonged what she couldn't see
Just made me want to be that much stronger
she couldn't live very much longer
She always felt like she never belonged there
She thinks to herself
Man how did I get there
Somebody led her there but left her for dead there
she's still fighting can't even see why
she never knew that he'd try empower
Now that she found the fire
that's all that she desired
just maybe that will help her to burn brighter
All she knows is she couldn't feel any lighter
She learned just how to become a fighter
