Talking about the stuggle but you wouldn't know nothing about that
why are you complaing when you was fed on a plater with a silver spoon
I didint have much of a room but I was given a pen to try to reach out to the children
All I had in my life was family, Jesus Christ with just some beans and rice
If you're starting to give up then you better start thinking twice
Don't ever turn to the streets for love cause all it has to offer is just it's lust
We was just given the scraps that was left off of the old bread
I ain't complaing as long as I knew my family would be fed
I had to sleep on the floor when we couldn't affored our own bed
I know all about the stuggle because in my city we ain't ever heard of a role model
Around the conor was just some thugs sipping out of their forty bottle
Struggling for clothes so we just ended up sharing all of those
We even ate out of the same bowls while wearing socks with multiple holes
Ripping my sandwiches in half just to share it with all of my little bros
I keep my head up high and if you want to know on the reason why
It's because, what's a good hustle without having a hard struggle
I always hear something whisper and now I know it's the devil
I pay him no mind cause it's free to just stay out of the trouble
Explain to me how you would have to wash up without any soap
I'ma different kind of breed cause I had graduated from the school of hard knocks
I earned my degree in what would be known as hustlerology
Doing what was best for not just me but for my whole family
Suckas would just love to see me caught up inside of a tragity
That's why I rock my dimonds so they're harder to see from the brightness
Even my own wanna see me suffer all alone but it's not like they ever liked us
Then they wonder my heart for them has turned hard like stone
Listen kid, these lessions in life all come with a great price
You better examine what happenes to all of those who follow
I seen the worse of it all, they're here today and gone tomorrow
Watch yourself, your closest friend can turn to your worset enemy
Always surround yourself with people of the best type of energy
Don't you know the more power they use, it'll only lower your battery
Don't run across the country for someone who wouldn't even walk down the block for you
Don't be fooled by all of the fake smiles and a friendly handshake
Even Adam was deceived by Eve like she was by the snake
Even Cain had murdered Able out of pure hate and that was his own brother
Love and jealousy are very hard to tell apart cause they're so close togeather
Just living underneath the umbrella may have a bit more of shade
However, that's where the demons get more clever to fool their next prey
Success has it's own price that you may have to pay with someday
And that's with all of your own blood, sweat and a lot of tears
Better than dealing with the risk of serving life and missing out for years
I speak words to the kids and some hear the message while the other just falls onto deaf ears.
