Remember before, when you said it'll always be you and I?
When you promised me a life that would be nothing short of divine,
When you said I was the only thing in your life that truly shined,
When you shouted to the world that I was yours and you were mine?
Now night after night, I stay vaguely awake.
Lying inches away from you, gradually threading strings of hate.
Holding onto these fading memories you produced on that glorious lake.
Where vows and failed promises were profoundly made.
By a man who swore to give but later showed he only takes.
Now that am in deep, I belatedly realize you are my worst mistake.
How do I wash away your touches, how do I make the memories fade.
How do I escape the hell your lies rained on me, how do I reach the shade.
How do I avoid looking into your eyes without thinking of gutting you with a blade.
I was so naive, how could you cruelly fool me with a well built facade.
Maybe one of these days I'll decide our fate with my hands.
When my heart tires of hurting, when I get rid of this wedding band.
Maybe one of these days you'll realize, to you, I don't wish to be bound.
When I make you see how little you left unbroken, how we've lost more than we found.
Maybe one of these days all these sufferings will stop making a sound.
When I help us stop living, when we finally cease being around.
